He grew up healthy in the centre of damascus and
He met the love of his life when he was only 17
Her father gave him his blessing, though he had little means

When he was 21 he worked his fingers to the bone
In an electronics shop that a friend of his father owned
He had such dreams, he had such lovely dreams but they
Like so much else were thrown away the day the baby came.

He was 35 when he heard the news
His father’s friend had died in fire of a burning BMW
Mohammed was now the boss of electronics shop
Mohammed the king of cables, mobile phones, and laptops

Mohammed’s days are growing short,
If there were sides then he might fight but this is no war
Had had such dreams, he had such lovely dreams

That his children, his wife, wherever they are - are safe
