Song will set you free
02:58
|
|||
The empty and fragmented hum
is what our bodies will feed on
when the old car radio will spurt
music so beautiful it hurts.
If I hold your hand will you hold my gaze
I'm an open book on an empty page
so if you have the time then feel free
to scribble on me with your lines of poetry;
But you got to be careful,
because not everything is as it seems:
I heard that melody and rhyme are gifts from the sky,
and they are all it takes to bring a man to his knees,
and they are all it takes to set a man free.
The broken and disjointed song
is what our bodies will feed on
when there is nothing left but grief and debt
and wounded minds trying so hard not to forget
the night sky under which we blushed
and the days we spent trying so hard not to touch
I would re-record if I had the time
would you sing with me
about a time when you were mine;
But you got to be careful,
because not everything is as it seems,
I heard that melody and song were ours all along,
and they are all it takes to make a blind man see,
and they are all it takes set a man free.
This song will set you free,
this song will set you free,
come on darling run away with me
because this song will set you free.

Wonderland
02:36

Lately I've been thinking
that we should get away
away from the monotony
that plagues us day by day,
and away from all the politicians
reaching out their dirty hands;
what do you say that me and you
take a trip to Wonderland?
We could trade in all the heavy clouds
for clear skies of blue
and under it we would commit
to doing things we'd never do,
we would smile and we'd sing
singing words we didn't understand;
what do you say that me and you
take a trip to Wonderland?
Why would you want an ordinary cat
when you could have one with a grin
why would you want an ordinary fat friend
when you can have one with a twin,
let's grab hold of spontaneity
and all that is unplanned;
what do you say that me and you
take a trip to Wonderland?
We'd go for tea and drink
in a place where time is still
in a place that doesn't rob you
in a place that doesn't kill,
It threatens and it hits with
only what you can withstand;
what do you say me and you
take a trip to wonderland?
Together me and you
could overthrow the queen of hearts
and bring hope to a nation
in need of a new start.
We could take what we have learnt
back home and start a band
singing songs to lonely people
about a place called wonderland.

Nuts and Bolts

1,2,3,4 he knocked at her door,
and she let him in, despite what they've been through,
and he smiled, a smile he used to smile,
before she broke his,
heart in the cold, that night in the rain,
she kiss his forehead, and said she couldn't see him,
again, they couldn't even be friends, because sh'ed
met someone else on the street, and he could not compete,
with his bulging biceps and his rock solid pecks,
and he sighed, and thought about it for a while,
and he said, but I can love you, and he is a pig,
he just wants to fuck you and I just want a kiss,
Just a kiss, off the woman I...
Love is all I want, I want it in the morning,
want it in a song, I want it on the walls,
want it on t.v. I want a happy ending for you and me.
5,6,7,8, she says it's to late,
she says she's moved on, and that I should do the same,
she says I shouldn't of came, I tell her that I'm
driving myself crazy with love, and I'll never give up
I'll just keep knocking on, keep knocking on her door,
forever more, and I tell her that I'm in
so much pain now she's gone, she has to be wrong,
she's gone for a man, that will never understand,
the looks that you give, he doesn't know that you want,
kids when your 27, your favourite number 11,
you like to stand out in the rain,
you like playing video games,
and only I know the name, of your first...
Love is all I want, I want it in the morning,
want it in a song, I want it on the walls,
want it on t.v. I want a happy ending for you and me.

Seize the day
05:34
|

The winds of change are around you
and you can’t help but see
that you are closer to death
closer to disease
but what scares you the most
is that notebook you wrote
which you sat with one summer
and filled with your memories.
memories that have faded
as time’s slowly passed
it’s seeped in through the crevices
and burst out through the cracks
and now that notebook you made
on those long summer days
is a constant reminder that there is no turning back.
and now you play with the hand
that you drew yourself
if the number are low
you can blame nobody else
and it’s getting to you,
you don’t know what you’ll do,
and then you realise
You haven’t had that long to play,
you haven’t had that big of a stage,
you’ve got so much more to say
Stop looking back, just seize the day.
and you Remember the seed
that you put in the ground
you were only five years young
and now it stands so tall and proud
and the voice in your head
that beckons responsibility
was so very quiet,
and now it is so fucking loud
Now the dogs lies by the fire
because he doesn’t like the cold
you two used to run around all day
but now he’s too old
so you just look into his eyes
and remember times that once were
soon he won’t recognize his name
he wont come back when he’s told
but he’ll be an emotion on a photograph
like when you started school
your hair was such a mess
but you thought you were so cool
and you wish you could go back,
and live in the past,
and then you realise
You haven’t had that long to play,
you haven’t had that big of a stage,
you’ve got so much more to say
so stop looking back, just seize the day.
Now your alive in the glory
of the days that have past
you have the sun on your neck
and your face is dirt black
with dirt you later trampled
into your living room floor
you hear your mothers screams
they make you want a do it some more
They’re sharp and there loud
but they’re unflinchingly nostalgic
and she is pissed off and your scared
and it’s all so awfully tragic
because it’s making you yearn
and its making you lust
for the innocence you had
until you grew up
and now it’s cast aside and left,
it’s thrown into the gutter
and you look upon the world
through the eyes of another
the stardust is gone
humanity is uncovered
you see hills and not mountains
you see a house but not a home
you were oh so surrounded
now your oh so alone
and it is closing you in
and it is burning your eyes
and you just want to scream
but then you realise
You haven’t had that long to play,
you haven’t had that big of a stage,
you’ve got so much more to say
so stop looking back, just seize the day.

Don't look at me like I'm vanishing,
Like I haven't got a clue.
I don't have a name but I can make one up,
If you really want me to.
I should tell you that I'n an amnesiac,
but i'm afraid you'll walk right by.
So I'm a SOLDIER, i'm a dreamer,
I'm a cloud in the sky.
So step into my back,
We'll step out onto the map,
And i'll take you round the world.
It's me and my flower girl.
Prepare yourself for the loss of health,
and for random encounters.
And a crazy woman alien,
And her big, sword wielding kid.
But thet are not the main threat,
No that's the midgar company.
Their pixelated suits, their big machines,
That drain the planets energy.
So forget the commotion
And grab a health potion,
And i'll take you round the world.
It's me and my flower girl.
